Guest Service Agent

The Northport Hotel is seeking a professional, guest-centered Guest Service Agent to join our Front Office team full time.

This role is an important part of the guest experience, from check-in through checkout. The Guest Service Agent is responsible for welcoming guests, managing reservations, answering questions, handling guest requests, and helping ensure each stay feels seamless and memorable.

We are looking for someone with hospitality or guest service experience who is dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, guest-facing environment. The ideal candidate takes pride in providing excellent service and is interested in growing within the hotel and hospitality industry.

This is a full-time position. Weekend and holiday availability is required. Night Audit shifts may be required as needed.
 
Compensation:

  • Hourly pay is based on experience, availability, and overall fit for the position.
Qualifications:

  • Prior hotel, front desk, hospitality, or guest service experience strongly preferred.
  • PMS experience is a plus.
  • Strong communication and computer skills required.
  • Must be professional, reliable, and able to multitask.
  • Ability to remain calm, friendly, and composed while assisting guests.
  • Must be detail-oriented and comfortable handling reservations, payments, and guest information.
  • Ability to stand for the duration of the shift and lift up to 15 lbs as needed.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet and assist guests throughout arrival, stay, and departure.
  • Handle check-ins, checkouts, reservations, and guest inquiries.
  • Quote rates, review availability, and assist with booking requests.
  • Answer phones and respond to guest needs in a professional and timely manner.
  • Follow proper cash handling, payment, and deposit procedures.
  • Complete shift checklists, balance paperwork, and ensure accuracy.
  • Communicate clearly with Housekeeping, Valet, Restaurant, and Management teams.
  • Stay knowledgeable about hotel services, local recommendations, and emergency procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming Front Desk area.
  • Help create a positive and polished experience for every guest.
